I liked this film. I really liked this film.
Does anyone have any recommendations, for other films I would enjoy considering I enjoyed this one.

I didn't like it but it reminded me of Hitchhiker's Guild to the Galaxy.( which I also didn't like)
I actually like Army of Darkness, Idle Hands, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure,
Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, and Trainspotting.
Didn't like: Rubber, Dude where's my car, My name is Bruce, and Bubba Ho Tep
Not sure why someone would recommend Splinter or Attack the Block as similar to this. Though I liked them. Attack The Block is an instant classic to me.
other weird quirky films: Survive Style 5+, Howl's Moving Castle, The City of Lost Children, Feast, Planet Terror, They Live, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Labyrinth , Starship Troopers, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Pee-wee's Big Adventure, Itchi The Killer, Santa Sangre, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and Dark City.
I only saw the first 45 minutes of Hitchhikers guide, so I can't really speak to the quality of that...I will say though that Douglas Adam's Hitchhiker's series of books is up there amongst my all time favorite series of all time, utter genius...

me and my friends were HGTOG fanatics in high school... we were so nerdy we had nicknames from the book characters. the movie adaptation is horrible on every level. such a disappointment.
shareSeveral scenes, themes, and plot points were very similar to those seen in David Lynch films. I'd recommend Lost Highway. It's much slower paced and will leave you much more confused, but it's much more rewarding to watch.
shareDavid Lynch is up there with the best of that "avant-garde, weird" style of directors along with Cronenberg in his "Videodrome" and "Dead Ringers" era stuff. If you like Lynch search around for an early short film of his called "The Grandmother", when I was about 15 or 16 me and a buddy had dropped a bunch of acid and he threw that on, completely bizarre flick, unnerving as hell when tripping. I think you can find it on Youtube now actually.

Watch Troll Hunter. It's a Norwegian film dubbed in English. It's truly amazing, like nothing I've ever seen before and has the same crazy vibe as John Dies At The End.
shareI thought it was like repo man meets after hours, directed by david cronenberg.
shareBrain Damage - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0094793
shareDylan Dog and Odd Thomas.
