How violent is the sexual assault?

For anyone who has seen the movie, how violent is the sexual assault? Is it a long scene? And is the victim one of Owen Wilson's daughters?

Thank you in advance for responses.

It's practically non-exsistent. I was nervous about it, too, as I CANNOT watch rape scenes, but they didn't show anything.

It was implied that that was going to happen, but it was stopped. It probably takes all of 5 mins from when they capture her to when Pierce Brosnan interrupts...

It was over pretty fast. I barely had my jurgens and kleenex out and it was over!

She wasn't raped. The guy was stopped before it got that far.

The scene of throwing his children across the buildings is more disturbing than that meek attempt of sexual assault. Infact, the assault is borrowed from Bollywood style where the heroine is rescued just in time.

I think the confusion comes from the old mpaa rating reason still being listed here on imdb instead of the updated and correct one.
My guess is the initial cut of the film submitted by the studio took things further in that scene but for some reason the studio decided to remove the scene before release (or at least however much of the scene qualified as a "sexual assault") and then resubmitted the edited version for a new rating reason.
The rating was changed well before it even came out in theaters, even the final theatrical trailer had the updated rating months before release. A Sexual assault is NOT in the R rating reason and was removed well before release. You can confirm on the official mpaa film ratings site (filmratings.com), the actual rating for the film and all relevant details follow: I hope that helps!

So, you are saying that there is a version where she is actually raped, and it was later edited out? I don't think so. It wouldn't fit the flow of the scene after PB and Kenney Rogers arrived and shot the attackers. Unless the entire scene was re-shot.

reply

Not that violent.

Sexual assault is always violent. What kind of question is this? Yikes.
