The Best Killer Clown Film of all time

I was hesitant at first but watched it and loved it. The film is awesome. The first half of the film mainly depicts the father struggling with what is happening to him and then you find out hes being taken over by an ancient demon that feeds on children only. Wish they would release it in the United States

Overstatement, there is too much room for improvement. This is in the same league as 100 tears, it is 100 tears cliché mode with a bit of movie sins with the children getting killed (Not worth it really). If you are going to dare killing kids on screen at least give a film an above average story that really needs that imagery, in this case I thought it was too average to go that far. The kid from the Babadook >all the kids in this film. Also the grandfather made absolutely 0 sense whatsoever frigging huge mistake it could have been much better with less lazy writing. If he did want to help the father why would you bring the kid to a crime scene filled with blood. Jezz... The mother had some highlights. the kid was written as dumb, all the kids were written as if they were just very, very, very stupid. Kids are innocent but not *beep* dumb idiots.

Love some bits here and there, like the girl saying ¨dont go that way¨ brilliant, lovely. And I think that was it, I loved the monster as well, they were hinting too much for a sequel.

He should then do a better job. Needless gore, there is beautiful gore and there is needless gore, gore can be beauty when done tastefully with the right story, Tokyo Gore Police is beautiful gore, Saw, even a Serbian Film did it better (and it went far beyond killing) if you erase from your mind the dumb last scene. But movies that actually needed it, the stories, their messages required and screamed for it. This movie tho? was there even a point in telling this story? I will just wait for the IT remake. Heaven knows we need that R-Rated it if this is the standard for horror, horror clown movies alone. *beep* offensive. And honestly you must not know *beep* about movies let alone horror, children are usually very *beep* respected in horror films. Rarely ever killed just so you know... I guess people are still learning, but if you have a solid story you shouldnt even ask when or where just do it. It is quite obvious when you only do it for exploitation.

Following your logic TCM would not be horror, nor would The Silence of The Lambs nor Se7en, is not about your *beep* opinion, it is what it *beep* is, saw is in the horror, mystery, genre. Period. You dont change that, you do not have jurisdiction or power for that.

I used the word ¨even¨ as in ¨EVEN THIS MOVIE DID IT BETTER EVEN THO IS NOT A GOOD FILM¨ They needed the scene at the climax, (not the newborn, that was as unnecessary and a good example of what this movie did)

Gore can be a thing of beauty when done properly, with the right shots, with the right lights, within the right context, gore is art, simply, because it is a part of it, as soon as it is on film. You say the point of gore is to unsettle disturb and disgust, that is called a *beep* opinion and again you do not have jurisdiction or power to impose anything. Movies do NOT NEED gore to unsettle, disturb and disgust.

The film is bad, it has only got shocking value going for it for a story that was simply not worth being told, without clear competitors, some teen moviegoers might like it.

also go watch some *beep* Argento then come back to talk with the adults.

I think we would be great friends in real life and you would be one of my favorite persons to fight over films at a bar with friends.

Oh and I also think I am right and your arguments were not good enough (if you can even call them that). But a fine try for someone who hides behind the ¨everything is an opinion¨ lemma and hides away in terror.

And if you have watched Argento his style would show you how gore is art. At the end is as simple as film is art, even when some of them are tacky and cheap while others are masterpieces. ¨It´s not blood, it´s red¨

For some of your statements to be true you would have to prove that film is not art. Then we could go ahead and play on ¨is gore art¨ ¨can gore be tasteful¨ and you would bring up the term ¨torture porn¨ and I would be very angry.

And about opinions, someone who´s opinion matters more than most once said ¨it´s not blood, it´s red¨

Just like the ink of a painter, one that is not judged for painting some disturbed imageries, but instead is in a museum getting praised as art forever.

Saw and ASF are art, even if you despise them. That is the one that is not an opinion, but a fact. I found it also very ironic that you tell me that horror is not my coup of tea when you despise films like Saw and ASF and go out and Argento simply weird. I understand you are only a filmgoer but you lost a lot me there, at least at the Argento uninformed opinion. I do not like uninformed opinions. Gore in film is art, is not even married to horror, Reservoir Dogs, The Passion of the Christ, Gladiator, Saving Private Ryan, etc. So whether you dont find it pretty because you do not like blood, it is irrelevant, it is art, and it can be stylish and it is superior when it the film actually needs it. So, you lost that one, but hey you also have some other opinions that I have not yet dismembered, go and use them on other posters, I give you my blessing.

Sure but is not because they are gory, that was the whole point of this, just get over it, you are not a learner you are one of the trolls these boards are filled with.

Well then dont get over it, I care even less than you not caring. The End.

Argento was a hack. Fulci and Bava is where the talent truly was.

reply

Well congrats you were one of the first fanboys. You are the one who began trends such as overstatements, ¨best movie ever¨ threads, ¨worst movie ever¨ threads, that would eventually evolve into a cult for the lead singer of one direction´s hair. Argento was its own thing. And I even worship Rabid Dogs from Bava which was no longer a giallo, but to simply ignore someone elses work just because you like someone elses and you think they are underrated is plain stupid.

reply

I wish I felt as passionate about Argento as he does with casting his hack daughter in awkward sexual roles, but it is impossible. :'(

reply

I wish I could see real life facts while I watch films, that way my opinion would be a lot more mainstream. Unfortunately, I am unable to judge a movie that way, I actually love film not real life drama and gossip.

"Mainstream."

I chortled.

I wouldn't say the best I think Killer Klowns from Outerspace was better but thats an all time classic in my opinion. This was still way better than I expected and a really good movie.

I couldn't disagree with you more, I thought it was an absolute waste of time. Eli Roth has never made a good movie and to add insult to injury I gave Green Inferno a spin the other day, I should have known better. Total horse sht.

It's all a deep end.

reply

Green Inferno was such garbage.

I don't stop many movies but green inferno I stopped after an hour to cut my losses.

This film was bad ass and deserves a much better rating than it has. But such is IMdb.

It was better than I expected, too. I liked the fact that they wrote a folkloric background to the origin of clowns; I thought it was a really original touch to invent that clowns come from a demonic legend that ate children! It actually makes perfect sense, lol.

I have to say, "It" and Pennywise never did anything for me, but this film was quite effective.
