Honestly...do you believe Armisen and Brownstein are platonic friends?

It's one of those things that just bothers me. In interviews they act all mysterious about it while insisting that they're "just friends", but I'm not sure that I buy it. Thoughts?

For the record I'm a huge fan of the show, and I don't really give a crap about what people do in their private lives. I think this one of those weird exceptions where real life and entertainment might be overlapping.

Given where s6 is going, its feels a little perverse - in the sense that they seem to be shrugging and giving people "what they want." I really don't want to believe this mirrors their real life relationship at all (I don't).

I liked the ideas they hit on in the episode. But its seems so risky to take the "mulder and skully" gambit out of back of the closet. It didn't work for them and I don't feel like it will work for Portlandia either. I get the idea they are trying to close out on the show and its due to end at S8.

But for the love of god, please don't give into fan pressures because we all want some crazy romance.

On a side note: I don't think they have any kind of romantic love relationship. I'm sure they had their trysts on the side and like everyone figured out it wouldn't work. Ended up as friends.

Hmm.. I've known Carrie, via mutual friends, for about 30 years and I've always known her to be a lesbian. That's not to say she couldn't be bi. In our musician, social and activist circle, we are all really open and accepting of a most anything. Including our sexuality. We aren't ones to be strictly straight or strictly gay. But we have all been through really rough things in our lives and are really open about it. Especially in our music, zines & activism. With that said.. we don't quite care for people making assumptions about our sexuality. Magazines and other news outlets love to focus on it WAY too much. In the end, it shouldn't matter what anyone's sexuality is. We're all humans and adults. Look into Carries old bands: Sleater-Kinney, Excuse 17 & The Spells. Some of the best, most personal, honest and well written music out there. Peace =]
