shareI am literally 10 minutes into it and I love it! I've never read any of the books and have only read Koontz's Frankenstein series. For years it seemed everywhere I look there is a new Odd Thomas book. I'd think "really??" So when I saw there was a movie on Nflix I watched the trailer and thought, ok this might be a fun Sat night movie. Some DTV movies I've gotten have been pretty good so why not try this one. Like I said, 10 mins in and I am loving it. I may have to start reading the books!

The books didn't...totally...suck. Koontz just got lazy. (IMHO.) He was cutting & pasting by the 5th from earlier tome's. But, yeah...I can see a Netflix take...
Problem is that netflix and other online distributor which also produce series (now) get a lot of ideas pitched. I also have no take on the community behind Odd Thomas, but you would need a lot of interest to get this series idea pushed into a CEOs head with a not so successful movie. I would love it to happen, but you need to show them that there would be a market for it.

Valid. "Niche Marketing" at its best. "Daredevil" (brilliant) at least had a larger & built in fan base... This one? Probably not as large...
