whenever the operator switches the telephone line...

One of the two nuns the captain was talking to was barefoot, nice touch. I also liked how the mum used the megaphone inappropriately, which was like her superpower.

...I got nothing.

Who busts the Crimebusters?

Sam sneaking off during the play and just wondering around..also the Scout Master constantly smoking in the morning, surrounded by kids. And the picture he has of the telephone girl with her headphones on at the end...

How in a camp inspection Scoutmaster Ward claimed the treehouse was too tall(that scene was halarious) then later we see that they left it that way and when the back wall fell, there was a good solid 5 second delay before you heard it hit the ground. I LOLed.

...Thank you for summing that up.

Saw another movie today with the date I first saw this movie with. We snuck into the very end of Moonrise. I was trying to point out all the things people mentioned here.

I showed her how the book Suzy was reading was "Return of" something... the cat was now grown up... she looks at him through the binoculars one more time and just before Suzy walks off screen she hesitates and pauses for a little bit and stands still, then exits to the left and fade to black. I guess it was more poignant than funny.

The kitten. Just. Every time I had forgotten about it, you'd hear it mewl from the basket and I'd crack up again. Who brings a kitten on a wilderness adventure? And the millions of cans of cat food. Best ever.

Also Albert the turtle. The way he hurls him back into the water. HAHAHAHA.

The part when Norton jumps over the water right after the flood, and then again after he's carrying the guy. That part was great! The obvious absurdity of his jump made me laugh a lot, both times. Laughed a great deal more in this movie than in some 'comedies' I've seen lately..

"Actually we know him alot better than you. He's emotionally disturbed because his family died. Nickelby, tie him up."

The "line-up" of Captain Sharp, Sam and Suzy after the storm chopped off the top the church - they looked like hangman and I couldn't stop laughing. And then Captain Sharp said "Don't let go!" I think my neighbours woke up because of me ...

That was the funniest moment for me in this wonderful movie. Thanks for all your other recommendations in this thread!

For relaxing times, you know.
