One thing that I think makes this movie so special

is it reminds us of what America is supposed to be, choosing good over evil, the light over the darkness, standing up to the villains on the world stage.

Unfortunately, over the last few decades, America has strayed from that path. Most of our leaders have been bought off by billionaire plutocrats that care nothing about the fate of our nation, and that has led to America becoming one of the greatest villains on the world stage. We have started needless wars in multiple nations on fabricated evidence (e.g. Irag, Syria), and the U.S. didn't even give a reason for decimating Libya, which was one of the most peaceful and prosperous nation in the Arab world before America and its cronies smashed them, turning them into a wasteland run by barbarian slave traders.

Now the U.S. is pretty much forcing Ukraine to keep fighting Russia. Why? Because the billionaire plutocrats that want to rule the world want it. Ukraine negotiating peace would throw a big wrench into their palns.

Top Gun Maverick reminds us what the United States is supposed to be about, freedom for all people, opposing the boot of globalist tyrants that wants to make slaves of all of us. It reminds us of what America is supposed to be all about, and that is why it resonates.

Then next thing you are complaining that USA stood up to world evilness and dictatorship in Syria, Iraq, nazi russia.

There is a global tyrant that wants enslave Ukranians and take away their country and freedoms. And USA is bravely helping Ukrainians to fight against nazi russian villain. Yet you complain that USA is helping and I assume you want them to stop and that Ukraine would fall and be occupied and destroyed.

Like how can those two things live in your head at once?

USA is not "forcing" Ukraine to fight nazi russia. Its Ukraine who is BEGGING USA to not stop helping and not leave Ukraine. Because Ukraine doesnt have enough weapons herself to fight that greatest villain on the world stage of the moment.

I really cant understand how trumpists can call themselves to be patriots of USA and at the same time root for enemies of USA to win and USA to lose. This is next level of crazy.

But "Ukraine negotiating peace" means that Ukraine would agree to surrender to nazi russia and be completely occupied by it. There is no such thing as "they sat at the table and agreed to stop war". Since nazi russia dont want to stop war - it want to destroy Ukraine. russia can stop was at any second. By simply moving out of Ukraine territories.

How can people be this stupid is beyond me. Maybe pack your things and emigrate to russia since you obviously like it more then you like USA.

That is not what I said. I said the U.S. was the villain when it came to Iraq, Syria, and Libya. You can blame, Bush, Obama, and H. Clinton for starting those conflicts and I never mentioned anything about the Nazis.

It isn't about what the rest of the world thinks. Macron has said Europe shouldn't follow the U.S. around like a little lap dog. I think that is a good thing. I also think European countries should surrender their sovereignty to the EU, but it looks like that has already happened. The U.S. has its flaws, but at least we aren't ruled by unelected bureaucrats who aren't even from the U.S.
