I loved that he said that because I was expecting some corny, populist line like "you were always the best". It subverted expectations.
shareAgreed, that was the right response...
But the little voice in the back of my head still asks the real question....head to head... who really is Top Gun?
If you use this film as the fast forward vs. just the 1986... I'd say it splits between the 2 of them in 1986. In 2022, Mav all the way... where as, a skill like dog fighting needs to consistently be honed and practiced... like a sniper......in my humble opinion.
