Why is the rating so low?

I am a very, very picky show watcher. Game of thrones, dexter, breaking bad, and house of cards are about the only ones I've watched every episode of (got by far the favorite). The all have high 8s and mid to low 9s ratings. I absolutely loved this show from start to finish of season one, yet this show only has an 8.1. Is there a particular reason why people don't enjoy it on the levels of the aforementioned?

While I plan on watching the entire show (I've watched the first episode so far), I have to say that this show is a harder one for me to watch because it simply hits a little too close to home.

This is how I see our society going towards to be honest due to the capatilistic nature of our society and how reliant the U.S. has become on propagating pointless wars (we're currently in 7 even though it's practically never talked about).

Historically speaking, societies have always fallen apart in pretty much utter madness/chaos when there has been a large disproportion of wealth as we're currently seeing with Trump being elected as president and the Democrats insistence on blaming everything on "Russian hackers" without any actual evidence besides the CIA's word (which if anyone knows the CIA's corrupt history and the coupes they've carried out around the world... their word amounts to nothing).

Honestly we're living in a time that I fear will lead to something like The Man in the High Castle depicts, and part of it is also the Orwellian bills and laws I see being passed by our government-Obama's attempt to speedily get TPP passed was a gross display of contempt and betrayel of the American people as it infringes heavily on freedom of speech and adds the right for the government to censor the internet. That and it literally gives corporations an unprecedented amount of power over normal citizen's lives.

Not to mention the horrifying treatment of whistle-blowers under the Obama administration, but then Hillary Clinton getting a pass for actually compromising the government vs. telling American citizens how the government is spying on U.S. citizens illegally.

The *beep* propaganda I see spewed forth by the likes of the MSM owned channels and papers like the Washington Post is another area of concern. Just recently the Washington Post released a total *beep* article that was a blacklist that discredited legitimate sources of online journalism alongside non-legitamite ones in the biggest display of modern journalistic abuse that I've seen in a while.

I don't know, but maybe this show is hard for some of us to watch because we view it as a future that might actually be in the process of taking place. That and the fact that so many are horribly blind to what's taking place currently in the world and how it's leading us to a society ruled by the very few vs. the majority.

I loved this one too. 8 isn't bad, and I did see that the first season was Amazon's most streamed show, so I'm sure season 3 is a lock.. Probably because there was so much content it had to be spread out a bit unevenly. IMO this is the best show being made now.
