I'm not like a big time Kristen Stewart hater, but to put it plainly- she wasn't appealing in this movie acting-wise or looks-wise. Not that she was bad in either aspect but when the title is SNOW WHITE and the Huntsman and the queen shows up Snow White in every way, that's a problem. She did a decent job but couldn't they have found an actor who could do a GREAT job? And wouldn't totally disappear next to Charlize?
shareI think you guys are missing the point, if they would have casted a Snow White who was "as beautiful as Charlize Theron" that would be missing the point of the movie. Queen Ravena feeds off of other people's souls to stay young and beautiful forever. While in contrast, Snow White has a kind and compassionate heart which reflects her beauty. That's why in the beginning when her mother is telling her she has a great beauty she touches SW's heart. Also to stop Ravena's curse she needs the "fairest BLOOD" not fairest LOOKS, meaning not only royal blood but pure and good blood unlike Ravena's. And Kristen is the reason why the film brought in around $400 million at the box office.

She can't act worth a s**t. The girl who played a young Snow White was beautiful. Features don't change that much. They chose the wrong actress to play the grown Snow White. They only chose her because of her popularity in the Twilight Sagas. I think she's dry with no talent. She always looks dazed in her roles. Even during interviews, she sits with her arms and legs crossed with one leg constantly swinging! It's so predictable and stale. She'll never win an academy unless she learns to show more passion and develop her characters with heart and soul.

I think sometimes actresses that are more relevant at the time they hire them---even if they suck lol. Which explains maybe why Miley Cyrus was cast for "The Last Song"....like they could have definitely picked someone different but i guess since she was doing Hannah montana & was really relevant at the moment---that's why they hired her?? idk just thoughts.
shareI think Saoirse is even less fit for the role than Kristen. At least Kristen has a fairly appeal if face. The actress who looks the most like Snow White is Alexandra Daddario and she still looks like a teenager. She has an ethereal appearance and a sweet face. Unfortunately she isn't a great actress but apparently that wasn't a requirement for this movie.

I believe she was chosen for $$$$$$$$ (Twilight was a hit *beep* as it is) or something related to Rupert Sanders. No other reasons.
