Republicans are lying about this movie being good

I thought the right hated fake news? WHy are they creating fake news to make this movie look good? Or does the right really have that bad of film taste? It has nothing to do with politics, this is just a really really really really bad movie. The writing is so clunky it's sometimes funny, every performance is over the top, it's edited by a monkey and the cinematographer might've been a teenager. It's just a bad movie, period. But look at the Rotten Tomatoes audience score...97% with hundreds of accounts that were created within the last 48 hours, all giving the movie a 5/5, and have only seen Reagan. Hmm, a lil suspicious...

The critics dislike the movie only because they say the movie is pro-Reagan. Screw them

If you had read any of the critics you would know that is not true. Their complaints are all about the plot, dialogue, cinematography--basically any of the elements which make a good movie, subject matter being irrelevant to valid criticism.

I read almost all of the reviews. The common word is hagiography. They feel the movie is too pro-Reagan

Yes, hagiography--a critics term for a hamfisted, fawning, shallow biography.

They are right, the film IS too pro-Reagan. It basically claims Reagan started the Cold War (an ongoing event that began in the early 60's) and credits him as being the guy who solved the Iranian hostage crisis in just one day! Simple Google searches will prove that neither of those things are true. Has nothing to do with an anti-Reagan bias, it's just a historical fact. Stuff like that makes the film bad, because it's basically lying to its audience to make Reagan look better.

Say what you want about Reagan, the fact is, he was 1000x better than his predecessor, Jimmy Carter. Nothing personal against Carter, I know he's near his death, but yeah, he made it easy for the Republicans to hold the the oval office for 12 years after his brain-dead attempt at being a president. At least Reagan had some guts...

Carter was just weak and didn't know what he was doing. In fact, today's democrats should love Reagan. He was so anti-Russia that it should make the average democrat of today cream their pants at the thought of having another leader like him....

Yet today's Rethugs are pro-Putin. And Reagan connived with Russia to keep the hostages until he became President. Your hero. (You forget Carter ordered a daring raid that failed due to a sandstorm.)

Unproven....

But if we're going to bring up deals with Russia, Obama tried to do something similar and was caught on a hot mic.

Looks like Romney was right when he said biggest geopolitical threat is Russia. Obama disagreed....

And wtf, Carter can't think to look at a weather report before attempting a raid? Dude couldn't get anything right.

Who cares??? You should be judging the movie on the merits of it being a MOVIE, not whether or not you liked the guy it’s about. I’m assuming that’s the only thing you care about??? You think all the people like Wolf of Wall Street only because they like the real Jordan Belfort???
