What are your thoughts on Antonio, Mykelti's boyfriend?

I was neutral at first, wanting to wait and see, although I agreed that it's going fast.

I have to admit I was really turned off by a comment Antonio made. Kody said it was going to be hard having another wedding just a couple of months after the other daughter's wedding and Antonio says - "If the problems are financial you can get a loan against the house".

Uh.... OR..... Antonio and Mykelti can have a SMALL wedding and pay for it themselves, maybe? I don't think the Browns have enough equity in those houses after such a short time.

Who knows... it just rubbed me the wrong way.

I was semi-okay with Tony until he made that comment about Kody mortgaging his house to pay for their wedding. If he's that in love, and his fiance's father wants them to wait because of finances (among other things), then why not get off your butt and go out and work 2 or 3 jobs to raise the money to pay for most or all of your own wedding? But, no, he sits there and smugly suggests the Browns go into debt just to throw him a party. Entitled little weasel. Robin and Christine are absolutely right about LDS kids getting married just so they can have sex. I've seen it a million times, and it leads to nothing but heartache, and a lot of married couple who are barely past childhood themselves starting families they're far too immature to handle. Kody was a moron for saying yes.

I agree! Tony probably thought he was so clever suggesting a home equity loan since he is a bank teller. What an entitled dumbass. Putting in a wedding is not only financially draining, but also emotionally exhausting. Kody and Christine should have had a frank discussion with Mykelti about her life choices before they entertained a request for their daughter's hand in marriage.

There is also another possibility for the way Tony acted. Sometimes it's hard to tell and often times it's easy to see situations on the show that are planned and almost scripted. I wonder if Tony was coached to say things that might cause drama, because he can't be that stupid. If he's stupid enough to say they should take out a loan to pay for their wedding then the Browns need to kidnap Mykelti and keep her in a basement until she comes to her senses.

him saying YOU can get a lone was uncalled for. If they arn't willing to wait, they can pay for it themselves. Otherwise wait, whats the rush? if they are planning on being together forever...again why rush it. Less stress, more time to save money, plan, get to know each other and allow the family to get to know Tony.
