Just in case anyone wanted to see it or cared

.... WoW, straight up furniture (is that a thing now with registries?) almost everything but the kitchen sink.

Amazed they don't have an entire house on their registry.

Tony might need his own breast pump tho πŸ˜€πŸ˜„πŸ˜πŸ˜†

Looks like campaign taste on a beer budget to me. Geesh................looks like they both think VERY highly of themselves and are a bit greedy picking out all that high dollar stuff.

I didn't look at it, but they probably saw the haul Maddie got & because they're out of touch with reality, they think the public is going to set them up. I think they are going to be disappointed. I wouldn't waste my money buying them a knife & fork.

A woman's backpack and a tablet computer?! These two are coming across like entitled morons.

reply

Is this something they have just set up? I am not able to see if anything on the Amazon registry has been purchased, but for Target it looks as though only 12 out of 90 something items have been purchased. I counted, because I agree with the original poster that their lists have some outlandish requests. The Microsoft Surface being right at the top of my list of completely unnecessary/out of place on a wedding registry!

reply

There was way more promotion about Maddie's wedding and I looked at their registry on Target and it was pretty normal looking. Some of this stuff is outrageous. Just proves how immature they are and how they're trying to milk viewers. Because they will get gifts from viewers, but a computer? 

How is it stalking? They're public figures and have made their registries public and many people like the Browns. I don't see how that is stalking.

My point is why would a person be so emotionally invested in the life of someone that is known only through a TV show, that you would want to buy them a wedding gift?
Are you kidding? Some of the most popular shows on TV are reality shows and the point of those shows is for people to identify with them because after all, they are real and how many people want to be on TV or be like the Kardashians? Fans have sent gifts to celebs long before this warped world we live in now, so, of course, people are going to send wedding gifts to the Browns or the Duggers.

Is is normal now to ask for really expensive wedding gifts? I remember looking at Maddie's registry and it had a bunch of reasonably priced things with maybe one or two more expensive pieces of furniture (less that $200).

Asking for a tablet computer for your wedding? Wow

reply

The two lists are pretty tame compared to a lot of registries that I have seen.

reply

But you know they are depending on Sister Wives fans to contribute a lot and + I didn't see anything outlandish on Maddie & Caleb's list.

reply

I wouldn't doubt that they expect outrageously priced items because they do seem entitled, but, I think they might also have big ticket items for the discount. I didn't have a wedding, so no registry, but I know that you get a completion discount for baby registries for pretty much any item on your registry at Target, certain items on Amazon, etc. For my baby registry, I added a crib, baby wipes, laundry detergent, diapers, formula, ridiculous stuff that I didn't expect people to buy, but added for the discount because I knew I would need them and it was helpful getting the extra 15% off.

reply

I don't see anything that is really outrageously priced on the registry lists. Most of the things on their lists are are under $50, which are the things that have already been redeemed.

What I find strange is that you don't see the normal things you see on registries: dishes, china, silver, silverware. But they will be well stocked in coffee since they want not only a Keurig and also a Ninja Coffee Bar. I guess that is so they can keep Christine well wired when she comes to visit.

They are a young couple that enjoy the outdoors so I don't begrudge them asking for camping gear and backpacks, but the Go-Pro Camera and a Surface Tablet? Maybe that is why they aren't asking for dishes, they are planning on living in a campground and are going to use paper plates.

I don't think the lists make them look entitled, they just make them look very immature.

reply

Yeah I'd say that registry is probably showing their level of maturity more than anything. The Surface Pro tablet, several platform bed frames & mattress box frames, the $400 furniture, and a few other things that are a bit over the top, I agree.

At least though I don't think they had the candy & toys like Ben Sewald had put on his & Jessa Duggar's wedding registry on 19 Kids...lol Now that was rather immature.
