I thought it was great...

After watching this movie (which I was pleasantly surprised with), I came to this board and it seems everyone hated it. I'm 28 with a 1 year old son, who is basically in the same situation as the cast of this movie, everyone I know is getting married and having kids. I wonder if I enjoyed it because basically I am the demographic they were going after.

I hate almost all rom/coms, but I thought it had a GREAT cast (even Megan Fox), and I also thought there were very funny & touching moments. Chris O'Dowd was great in Bridesmaids, but I think he was even better in this. The last scene was pretty groan worthy, but other than that I actually enjoyed this movie a lot.

She's about to be on the Broadway stage again and I think that says a lot about her versatility as an actress and overall creative talent.

You're right. She never ceases to amaze me. Best of luck with her new stage show!

Actually, I could see this film being adapted for the stage as well!

This was an interesting twist on love, family, and relationships of today. I laughed, cried, was uncomfortable at times, but the story got me thinking. You have to appreciate when a rom-com offers more than the normal clichés. I thought it was a courageous story to tell. The supporting stories and it's actors were also very strong. This was surprising, enjoyable, and I recommend it.

This film is really easy to love. It's the perfect anecdote for modern friendships, romantic relationships and the dilemma one faces when deciding to have children. I enjoyed the different types of relationships, the spectrum of personalities and the clever jokes. As always, Jennifer succeeded in leading this eclectic cast. She managed to find the common thread and make the whole thing work.

I'm a mom of one with another on the way and I have to say this film has been one of my favorite films to watch about parenting. Me and my girlfriends found it so entertaining and thought provoking that it lead to hours of discussion after watching the film. It was clever, witty, funny, heartfelt, real, and romantic. Most of all, it was very true to the issues we face in society, family life, and relationships, today. It's really great when you stumble upon a work of art that integrates these many themes.
We thought the cast was great. The supporting cast is given valuable time to shine in their own stories and relationships. Adam Scott and Jennifer Westfeldt were a charming couple. Although they had their issues along the way, I loved their relationship. It was honest ...and admirable! I'm surprised to find out that Jennifer is not a mother yet. She did a really good job in her portrayal of a mom. She was tenderhearted in a character I couldn't help but feel compassion for and relate to.
