Are we supposed to believe that Cassidy is more attractive than Aimee?

Before people jump down my throat about true beauty, I don't think either girl is ugly by any means. Both are beautiful IMO but I just find it hard to believe that these shallow teenage boys would see Cassidy anyone near Aimee in the looks department- yet they're trying to say Aimee isn't attractive (when Sutter is talking to his friend he says stuff like that). Cassidy is a thicker girl- you can see it when she's wearing a belly shirt at the beach party. Aimee is tall, skinny, has long legs, and long, thick, beautiful brown hair with an adorable face. I just know how shallow teenage boys think and it was hard to believe that they actually couldn't see Aimee's beauty but never questioned Cassidy.

I believe a lot of it has to do with personality and accessibility, moreso than looks alone.

Keep in mind, Sutter isn't exactly attractive in the classic sense, but he is charismatic and outgoing, and that can get you pretty far.

Well, it's that you're supposed to believe that Cassidy is way more the popular girl with the "in" crowd and all that.
