Yeah, there's probably about a 99% chance that he isn't what he seems to be. The guy is way too understanding and nice about everything. The other 1% is that he really is genuine but he will be killed at some point.
This show is pretty good. A much better new Quantum Leap series than the new buttchin Macgyver attempt.
Haven't seen the new season yet but I knew he was a bad guy just from the promos.

shareNo, only mentioned. There's no way a show like this is introducing a new character that doesn't prove to be a problem to be solved. An actual relationship hurdle would be too subtle and complicated to layer into a time traveling scifi show.
shareMay end up being part of the organization that created Leaper X, maybe in a role similar to Herbert "Magic" Williams, Tom Westfall is after all Military (presently an Army Intelligence Officer) as was the Leaper X that we saw Richard Martinez.
Throw into that, that at some point early in Tom's Military career he was stationed at Fort Rucker with Addison, I also read an article on *NBC where it said that "it was revealed that Tom had been Addison's boyfriend 13-years ago, so technically she is the one that got away for him," however can't remember that being said myself. Plus of course part of the first season was Ben was leaping around to save Addison and just because Leaper X was vanquished, doesn't mean that scenario isn't still in play and Tom may be part of that.
Then there's the whole part from last season of Ian being a Leaper, which could also feed into how Ian found Ben with possibly even Tom's help, there's a lot more to all this than is on the surface anyway for mine.

shareSpeak for yourself----I really liked that MacGyver reboot----I also liked the original series---and would have loved to see go on for another couple of seasons. I need to catch up with these new Quantum Leap episodes, lol.
