Bad Accents
Why didn't they use American actors? Jude Law's Southern accent is terrible...
The accents felt very stagey and knocked the film down a few notches as a result.

Hollywood prefers COMEDY accents over real accents cos the target audience (Yanks) are very illiterate when it comes to knowing the real variation of regional accents in the USA. For a Brit actor, using the correct American accent would be a snap, but in 99% of the cases they'll be told to use a 'familiar' accent instead.
