Surely he has heard about his portrayal in this movie.

It would be pretty fun to know if A.) He watched this movie. B.) What his reaction to it would be.

it was a funny portrayal. I doubt he would care.

My recollection of Hawking is that he had a pretty good sense of humor. If I had to bet money, I think he'd be a bit amused by his portrayal even if the film itself was over the top.
