Doomsday or All Star?
I need to watch All Star again before I can say. Which one do you prefer?

shareFor now, I'm going to say DOOMSDAY. Unlike ALL-STAR SUPERMAN, which was so beholden to the comic book, I like that DOOMSDAY used the Death/Reign/Return of Superman storylines as a jumping off point to tell more of an original tale.
Strictly speaking of the comics, though, hands down would be ALL-STAR SUPERMAN. I enjoyed and admire the film adaptation enough, but hewing so closely to the source material I couldn't help but compare and contrast. I will say I was more emotionally moved by ALL-STAR. . .
Screw it, I'll change my answer to "a tie."
This mellow thighed chick just put my spine out of place!
Doomsday. I could watch that movie over and over again. I expected more from this. But in all fairness I never read the comic, so I am probably the wrong person to judge. This movie just seemed like it dragged on too long.
shareAll-Star. Doomsday was just such a disappointment. I don't need an adaptation to stick strictly to the source material, but some of the liberties they took were just silly.
shareJust finished watching All Star and during it I kept thinking how much better Doomsday was.... well story-wise anyways. All Star felt like many short stories combined in one.

Even Superman: Brainiac Attacks is better than the Doomsday movie! And we all know how bad Superman: BA was even?

Badass and proud of it! http://i578.photobucket.com/albums/ss226/TK-Hyperlite/Ava19.png
Doomsday was bad, but it wasn't that bad. Brainiac Attacks has got to be the worst animated DC movie ever.
shareI rather dug Doomsday's battles and portrayal of Lex, but I prefer All Star, despite its weak animation.
But man, Braniac Attacks.... I'm never going near that one.
Yippee-ki-yay, pastel-colored resistance!

Just posted about this but I split it as one for each but give the edge overall to Doomsday. Here's how I score it: After watching All Star Superman, I thought it was better than Superman/Doomsday even though I didn't like the ending as I've stated earlier. So that one goes to All Star Superman. As far as the comic book series, I read the whole Death Of Superman series but haven't read nor will I now read the All Star Superman series by Morrison...so in my book that one goes to the Death Of Superman. Plus like I said I'm biased to The Doomsday ending even though they didn't do it justice in animation nor on Smallville either. One can only hope that maybe down the road Henry Cavil will do battle on screen with DD!

All-Star, it was beautifully done. Doomsday wasted so much potential.
My ignore list is quite large.
Doomsday for me. The fight was wonderfully animated. All Star got a scathing review from me and i usually don't do reviews.
