The Hobbit will steamroll this piece of trash

and anything else in its path. rogen is an unfunny has-been whose time has come and gone.

Just because The Hobbit will inevitably make a *beep* ton of money doesn't mean the movies releasing after it wont be good or even great. I don't think this movie looks good but things like Zero Dark Thirty and Django Unchained look much better than The Hobbit. Hell, Jack Reacher looks pretty cool too.

Anything is better then a movie with Seth Rogen in it. I cant believe Barbra Streisand even considered being in this movie. What was she thinking.I can't stand any movie Seth is in and he ruined The Green Hornet. He needs to stick to stand up only.

reply

Zack and Mirri make a porno was decent. Even knocked up wasn't that bad.

Nevertheless, I agree that The Guilt Trip sounds awful. The cover looks aweful. The premise is awful. This has virtually nothing going for it, even if you like Seth.

Seth Rogan is awesome! Writes, acts and directs now as well. And I'm guessing none of you have seen 50/50. Well he wrote that and played in it, and guess what....It was GREAT!

opinions are like...aholes...anyway, why would anyone pit The Hobbit against this film?

reply

So, how many times HAVE you had your account suspended? Judging by your pleasant attitude, I'm guessing more than once.

This will be the high point of my day; it's all downhill from here.

haha, I love your title for the post.

You really needed something in your life after The Dark Knight Rises faded from the headlines, huh.

I don't know, but the OP reminded me of one of those TDKR psychopaths that permeated IMDb for a couple of years now.

Don't mind the OP. I've seen a lot of his posts and he is a fanboy on a sad, obsessive slander crusade against Rogen because Rogen in his view "ruined" his childhood hero the Green hornet. This has been going on for almost 2 years or something. I believe Evan Goldberg, Rogen's writing partner even called him out personally in an interview.

Woodrow Wilson? Willy Wonka? Walter White?

The Hobbit has to compete with the 3 other movies already ... talk about time being past.

This is fresh, new, smart and funny .... not nasty or disrespectful and it avoids being boring.
That is quite a feat to me ... I really enjoyed it. I think most normal sane people with a sense
of humor would as well.

I think they managed to keep away from going over the top, and also were not afraid to
show some sentiment and respect ... it was well-crafted, and I think will be a semi-classic.
I go on NetFlix, Hulu or Amazon and most of the comedies of even a few years ago are
hardly watchable anymore. I think this one will be around for a long time.

Extremely well done.

Unfunny has-been, are you talking about yourself? I’m not the biggest fan of Rogen either, he killed Hornet, but I can admit he was good in Zack and Miri and Funny People. You do realize that Hobbit and GT are targeted to two different audiences and that the overall box office doesn’t matter. In fact only a total moron would compare two completely different movies to each other.

All that matters is that the movies make back their budget. Both movies have their built in fan basses, the Hobbit is bank and with all the Babs fans and guys taking their mom’s to see it, they will won’t have anything to worry about. I saw the movie and it was very good. Rogen was not as big of a jerk as I thought he was going to be and Babs more then held her own against him.
And finally, Rogen doesn’t give a S#@t about you cause he’s too busy smoking the finest green and banging Playmates by the handful while you whine to yourself and hide in your mom’s basement.

You going to do something or just stand there and bleed?
