Saw the movie yesterday, liked it a lot, enjoyed the 3D effects, loved the minions. But I didn't like Lucy, right from the very first scene, and can't figure out why. Husband said he didn't like her either, and neither of us can express why. Anyone else feel the same way?

The voice acting was... not the best.
Eh. She was irritating, but didn't kill the film. At least she made an impression, unlike, say, Astrid from HTTYD, or the early Disney princes.
Frankly, I think it's her face. There's something annoying about it. Doesn't go with the voice.
All the other characters... even El Macho, I find charming as all get out.
I did not understand how Lucy was able to quickly deflect, subdue, capture and transport Gru to AVL's underwater layer when she first met him, but then she suddenly became a love-struck klutz immediately after that. It was hard to believe she was the same character.

In truth, it's men that can be turned that quickly by an attractive person.
(Adult) Women... even cartoon women... eh, not so much.
I had no problem with the character of Lucy my favourite scene with her was the wedding at the end I thought that was a great scene in general.
