Why did he take his clothes when he slept inside the horse?

If he wanted to keep warm then why was he naked?

I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it.

...So that his clothes could somewhat dry out while he warmed up inside the horse.

If he had've kept his clothing on and climbed into the horse, when emerging his clothing would've been soaked with wet blood surrounded by a very cold climate. That would defeat the purpose of warming up in the horse in the first place.

reply

Believe it or not, it's better to warm yourself naked.

If you and somebody else are out stranded in the cold, the best way to preserve body heat is to press your bodies together SANS CLOTHES. Your clothes actually get in the way.

I'm Kevin Roberts and I'm the coolest bitch in town!

Sounds rather awkward but effective. Especially if it's in order to keep warm.

reply

That's what I tried to tell her but she wouldn't believe me!! LOL

The "nerd" answer - that's how you are supposed to get warm when your clothes are wet.

The real answer - so the ladies could get wet looking at DiCaprio's derierre.

As far as the film goes, it was total garbage. He walked around in wet clothes for days and didn't get hypothermia or frostbite? Compromised circulation didn't lead to gangrene? And, best of all, when he comes out of the dead horse, his clothes have dried themselves, rather than frozen stiff!

reply

A beautifully rendered scene.

reply

I wish the film would've addressed the hypothermia and pneumonia situation. At least one scene showing him drying off his clothes and trying to avoid getting into the freezing water. That's one of the issues I have with this film.

Btw, I personally don't think Leo's derierre was shown enough. From what I remember, it was just his upper buttocks and it was like 2 seconds. Damn it!😠

reply

Pretty sure cut that part was censored, which was ok with me.

Interesting.

I work in Saudi and just rewatched The Wolf of Wall Street on TV. Needless to say, much of that was cut out. They did show most of the drug use though.

reply

Wow. I shouldn't be surprised knowing how Saudi tend to be strict when it comes to certain movies and their content. But at the same time, I can't help but wonder.

I can understand why they mostly censored The Wolf of Wall Street. But why censor a scene from this movie where it's presenting very brief non-sexual nudity? It's kind of ridiculous. But, hey, that's just me.

are not even supposed to wear shorts in public or expose their chest or midriff. Of course, it has even more strict rules governing women. It is what it is.

Did Han remove Luke's clothing before putting him inside the Tauntaun?

reply

Not that I recall.

reply

It was a good thing no one came along and stole his clothes while he was in there.

reply

Indeed. That would've been terrible.
