Don't see why everyone considers the bear scene the most gruesome moment
The final confrontation between Glass and Fitzgerald was easily more brutal. I was literally dreading it every time someone was about to be stabbed in any body part.

shareSame here; I finally saw the movie after hearing the hype for over a year, and though the bear scene was going to be longer, more brutal. It was pretty though, true, but I feel it is as good as the rest of the impressive scenes. Great movie.
shareAfter finally seeing the film, you are right. You are absolutely right! The final confrontation between Glass and Fitzgerald was more brutal than the bear attack scene. Don't get me wrong. If it hadn't been for my mother and brother, I don't think I wouldn't have made it through the bear attack. But something about the fight between Leo and Tom's characters was so...YEESH!!!!!😱😫
My mother, brother, and I were both cheering and cringing like crazy! Lol! The scene was badass, brutal, disturbing, and intense. I want to know how they choreographed that because it looks savage!
And now, I'm REALLY PISSED that MTV didn't nominate that scene instead of the bear attack scene for the Best Fight category. As much as I enjoy and love Deadpool, I prefer the Glass versus Fitzgerald end fight scene over the Deadpool versus Ajax end fight scene. Missed opportunity.
As in the MTV Movie Awards? I rarely watch their award shows but I did happen to catch that latest one. Those shows are really more of a popularity contest than anything for the average typical millennial and some Gen z. So that should really come to no surprise that viewers would go vote for the most mainstream movies as winners, even if that final scene between Glass and Fitzgerald did get nominated in place of the bear attack. That was a little before I actually got around seeing both Deadpool and this film.

I was playing rugby for my school once, when an opposing player bit off the ear of one of our players in a scrum. The match was abandoned, then we all had to come back from the changing rooms and search for the ear in the gathering gloom. Somebody found it - thankfully not me. It was never reattached (this was about 1972) and the guy who did it got a lifetime ban from rugby.
The victim was nicknamed "Vinnie" from then on (as in Van Gogh).
Jesus! That's horrible!
shareFunny. Before I got a chance to see this, I mostly hear about the commotion surrounding DiCaprio sleeping inside a dead horse than anything. Doesn't really seem like a big deal to me after I saw it.... so he incised the horse up for survival. *shrug*

I think the bear scenes are absolutely fantastic and difficult to watch. I had no problem with the climactic fight between the good guy and the bad guy. I couldn't wait for the bad guy to get it.
shareI think the most gruesome scenes were easily the depictions of wiping out whole villages.
