Excuse me, but I don't recall "a black captain" saving the day in the original Cinderella. We already had an all black version that was a disgraceful flop, and now have this character thrust upon us. Disney feels the need to throw in minority characters to be politically correct. It just makes me turn the movie off.

shareNot to mention that the all Black version, if you're talking about the Brandy and Whitney Houston version, had quite a number of people who liked it, despite the low imdb and other scores. Also, it's not like it's a "White" story. Almost every country has a version of the story, which has been around for centuries. The earliest, "origin" story, appears to be from China. And these stories are for EVERYONE who watches them, not just a privileged few, or those of a certain color or ethnic background. People, especially our innocent children, want to see themselves when they watch movies. That's why we watch--to be entertained, educated, and to fire our minds and imaginations. Would you deny others that right?
