John wick wannabee?
Sounds just like it
shareDifferent, less focused.
John Wick movies focused on John Wick killing a lot of people, cheesy but still believable, it established John Wick as an effective assassin.
But Six was handcuffed to a bench, unarmed, injured (car accident), surrounded by a lot of mercenaries with heavy arms, still survived. That I don't think was about how good Six was as an effective assassin, because none was that good, so the scene although long did not mean anything.
I mean they have RPGs, just one to the bench would have done it. Like Lloyd Hansen said:"My god, how hard it is to kill someone handcuffed to a bench?"
So it was more about the incompetence of strike teams than how good Six was, which I think was only established in the final scene. But at that point I was more surprised than impressed.
I think the only effective assassin established in the movie was that Tamil guy, who beat up both Six and Miranda (Ana de Armas) without much difficulty.
Also, they have the little girl. Just hurt her and the main character will give the USB back. The script was not well thought.
shareHonestly, it felt more like Jason Bourne if he didn't have amnesia. But I had fun with it.
