Who else was annoyed by the nurse/next door neighbor?

Not only was she butt-ass ugly, but she kept sticking her nose (which was quite large) into places it didn't belong.

yeah, I was at first... she was skyping with her "landlord" a few times... I was thinking ; why are they showing her so often... ohhh they must have a relationship by the end of the movie... that became obvious...

but hey..it's a true story so they had to do it..

reply

No. She was not a nurse, she was a DOCTOR. And the point of her was that JB learned compassion and how to have a heart and learn the importance of family. The boys confided in her because she cared and JB wasn't paying them any attention.

reply

She is a physician, not a nurse. Your comments about her appearance deserve to be ignored.

reply

She was hot, and a doctor, and a nice person. Three for three.

Before we get started, does anyone want to get out?

reply

There is nothing wrong with being a nurse. I don't know why this is still considered an insult to mistake a doctor for a nurse. Nurses have always been under appreciated, but nowadays many of them have put as many years into their education as doctors. Some nurses have PhDs.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with being a nurse. However I am about 99% certain the OP assumed Brenda was a nurse because she was female. I liked Brenda a lot, and I don't even usually like Lake Bell. I thought she did a great job with the typical girlfriend/potential girlfriend role, it didn't feel cliched.

Yes. Someone on a another board also referred to her as a nurse.

I was only put off by how messy her apartment was. Yikes! I'm no neat freak but that was a bit over the top.

reply

Before cries of misogyny and the patriarchy maybe the op is not from America.

I thought she was a nurse based on her appearance.
Doctors or physicians don't dressed in such a way where I come from.

reply

Yeah, like, no one ever calls male nurses male nurses. Especially not male nurses. What is it with that, actually?

reply

Cuz they're known as murses. Or mursi, both are correct.

reply

No, not at all - maybe just you.

reply

Yeah because she "is not a model". :-|
