How can a wire slit someone's throat?
I mean really? Wires aren't sharp objects, they are blunt.

shareI've gotten some terrible paper cuts before... Doesn't seem too much of a stretch that a wire could cut, and cut deeply.
shareCheck the article in the Wikipedia for wire saws.
shareI remember as a kid in England in the 1950s at Sainsbury. Nowadays it's a major supermarket chain back then a simple bacon and game butcher with cheese, fresh roasted coffee, tea and other groceries available except fruit and veggies. There was with sawdust on the tiled floor. Apron-clad female assistants would slice cheeses to order on a bleached wooden board with an attached thin nasty looking wire that was held in place with a peg similar to a duffel coat button. Very effective as a slicer. just one sweep, and presumably very sharp. Yes in answer to your doubts, the cheese cutter wire in the wrong hands could easily slit a victim's throat open.
