Neither character is gay or bi beyond that single scene. Seems like they put that in there for the sole purpose of sticking it in the trailer to appeal to the LGBT crowd. Lame.

The film is a gay romance disguised as a heterosexual love triangle. The reason for all the weird homoerotic scenes is because they're intentional; both the director and writer are gay, and they made a strange kind of gay romance film where Zendaya's character is both antagonist and what ultimately brings them together.

I think she's pretty but agree with you in that she does have the body of a little boy. She's also not a particularly great actress; mediocre at best. You gotta wonder why they've been pushing her as the "next big thing" these last few years. Surely there are way, way better actresses out there more deserving of the attention.

She knew they were extremely close and confirmed it to herself and them by having them makeout with each other. Alternate title could've easily been "Bros before Hos".
