NYPost scathing review

Saw it over the weekend and yeah it sucks even more than the last two.

Started falling asleep during and after the hipping van sing-along ride. It just went downhill from there. Not even worth it for the rumble. Knull was such a disappointment too since he just rambles but never shows himself.

I gave Venom: Let There Be Carnage (Terrible title) a 0.5 stars out of 10.
I think that is the lowest rating I've ever given a movie.

These venom movies are like making movies out of the original Venom comic series... which was one of the dumbest, stupidest limited-runs of a comic series ever.
Even in Maximum Carnage in Amazing Spider-man 300-350 (or whenever it was, I'm just guessing)... Venom's character was stupid. It was a gimmick character and everyone knew it.

Also, the giant tongue with green slime, was added after McFarlane (Original Venom artist) had already left. He is on record saying he thought the long tongue and green slime was a bit 'silly'.
So, these movies are pulling from the worst source material: The attempts to give Venom his own spin-off series.

It's like the movie version of the terrible 90s Venom limited series. Why would you want to make THAT into a movie? Oh, of course. To sell action figures, merch, etc.
