I realize that it's acting etc but take this film for example, Timberlake is actually on top of Mila Kunis, physically touching her insanely gorgeous body with his, do you mean to tell me he didn't have a massive hard on while shooting those scenes?

shareI think the fact that there are typically a significant number of crew, directors, producers, etc. on the set probably puts a damper on any real "feelings". Most actors say love scenes are not at all easy, relaxed, etc., largely for that reason. Then there's the issue of how many takes they have to do.
There was an old story about George C. Scott who once said to an actress with whom he was about to do a love scene "I apologize in advance if I get an erection, and I apologize in advance if I don't."

shareThey're working, so they have all the staff around, they have to be focused on what they do and say, they stop and begin again at director's word. If porn actors have to take "helpers" to mantain the set "hot" for the same reasons, go figure them.
