First reactions are ALWAYS positive. Been hearing that about EVERY major 2022 movie. And you know what? I haven't liked that many 2022 movies. I've only liked The Batman, Day Shift, Halloween Ends, Bullet Train, and Violent Night. And The Menu and Doctor Strange 2 as honorable mentions (if I had to pick some honorable mentions). I am looking forward to Avatar 2 though and I'm sure I'll like it, but I've been hearing this stuff all throughout 2022, and just look at how many movies I've actually liked. I can't even create a Top 10 Best Movies Of 2022. I sure as heck can create a Top 10 Worst Movies Of 2022 though.

Well we kind already knew that from the trailers the CGI would be good.

NEVER ONCE have I been interested in a movie because it was:
“beautiful,” “stunning,” and above all else, “immersive.”

to coin another film.... NOPE

Not everyone is you. The original Avatar was worth watching if for no other reason that the visual achievement. I'm glad we didn't live far from the theater, because I had a hard time getting the visual out of my head even as I drove.

yep. everyone is allowed to like different things.

having played the highest quality video games forever, avatar did almost nothing to me. i was bummed the world looked so EARTH like: dirt, green plants, sky,.... a yawner to me. nothing fresh.

Now, I'm bored/tired of CGI fest. HOWEVER, that Antman atomverse or whatever, looks unique and interesting to me, and avatar still looks average, or dated.

to each there own, nothing wrong with that. :) peace.

Certainly not a CG film. A film possessing real cinematography that’s visually stunning certainly is worth a look.

There is nothing impressive about CG anymore. And there hasn’t been since Jurassic Park. It’s lazy and shows the producers spent little time on writing a decent story. As in Avatar.

No CG? So they used real Navi or genetically modified humans!
