Interesting and fun dystopian dark comedy / horror drama
This does not cleanly fit a genre completely, but it's got enough humor that I would call it a dark satire, and it is also effective as a kind of horror - because the situation devolves into what you might expect under the circumstances. The notion is pretty intriguing, and the first half of the movie is interesting as you watch what life has become in the aftermath of a disaster that requires voluntary culling. The movie then has a pivot where the whole dynamic shifts.
There are some things about the way this film resolves its ending that I think could use some better editing, but overall I think it's an interesting and fun watch.
