A Wrinkle in Diverse Boredom

Budget:$103,000,000

Talk about SLOW plot, boring, annoying, and distracting. It's like they didn't even try. Even the B movie all white 2003 version pulled a higher rating and audience like.

reply

I didn't find it boring or slow at all. I never heard anyone describe a movie as distracting before. I thought it was entertaining and moving.

reply

Well I am glad you liked it. For the majority though (online ratings), that seems to differ.

reply

the diversity thing is just so relentless that it takes away from me getting into the movie.

reply

sucks to be you then.
you'll just have to watch the old movies from when they only let white people in.

doesent look like you're missing much with this particular one though

reply

A story teller should tell a story.

If the movie is about say Muhamded Ali, of course, I'm not going to mind a very diverse racial cast with a majority of black people.

But when the diversity is just there for the sake of being woke, then I can see clearly the agenda behind it, and it takes away from the story.

reply

You're pissing in the wind, trying to explain common sense to this fringe kook, brainwashed leftist

reply

It's not boring *because* it's diverse, it's a boring movie that happens to be diverse.

reply

This is something that people who complain about diversity in movies either cannot or refuse to understand. The MCU Spider-Man movies are diverse AF (biracial girlfriend, interracial parents, biracial MJ, Filipino best friend, Indian Flash Thompson etc) and yet they got great reviews from critics AND audiences whilst making a killing at the box office. That in itself is proof that "go woke, go broke" is a bunch of BS. Bad movies aren't bad because they're diverse, they're bad because they're bad.

reply

Yeah, plenty of godawful movies about white poeple!

In fact, if you looked at the IMDB list of 100 worst movies ever made, betcha most of them would have all-white or almost-entirely-white casts. Just because the vast majority of movies ever made had all-white or mostly-white casts.
