Blake Lively's narration made me hate parts of this movie. To me, she just became exactly like every 18 year-old girl who smokes weed for the first time, downloads every Bob Marley cd and talks about moving to "Cali". Because they want to make a living selling hemp clothing.
Other than that, I thought the movie was entertaining.
Absolutley right. When a character does voice-over narration it should be assumed they have something interesting to say. Her dreary, flat monotone is enough to turn off the sound which, considering the rest of this overheated piece of anarchic crap might be preferable. Also, until I watched this, I had no idea who or what was a Blake Lively. Assumed it was a guy. She certainly gives Kristen Stewart and that skinny, talentless bimbo from the O.C. (dont recall her name at the moment) a run for worst actress. How did the Razzie committee miss her
I had a feeling that Blake Lively was playing a pivotal role in the movie when I watched it and saw TV spots and trailers for it, but I didn't think she would be the central point of it and would narrate it. I caught some of it last night and I remembered how cringeworthy her narration was.
When she said the "wargasms" line, I actually almost turned off the movie. My fiance had to remind that Taylor Kitsch would probably take off his top eventually, so that helped me hold on. But good lord, her voice was intolerable. I actually was rooting for them to cut off her fingers.
That's exactly what I think. I like Blake Lively. She's pretty, she can act but she doesn't fit in this role. Everytime she's on screen, I want to kill myself. Her character make me feel like watching some cheap porno, teen flick, *beep* reality show... It totally ruin the movie.
