I rather enjoyed this.

I read several users reviews about how bad it was, so I didn't have the highest of hopes going in. But let me say during the movie I could not stop smiling, I laughed uncontrollably during this movie. I honestly loved every frame of this movie. Never once did I lose interest in the film. I loved the absurdity of the entire movie and thought the plot and sub plot were pure gold.

I've seen how several people have complained about how meaningless the movie is, and well that is the point. In real life most of the things we do don't have any point, so why should a movie be any different?

My only gripe was that it was too short, I wish it would have gone on longer.

Anyways I'm glad I ditched my friends (who went to line up for the Hangover 2) and went to see this instead.

It's a low budget piece of trash ... but I have to admit I couldn't stop watching it.

I found it very fascinating and intriguing. Very cleverly written. I really enjoyed the desert landscape setting as well.

I agree with the OP. I'm not going to pretend it's perfect, but I quite enjoyed it. The hate is quite over the top. The funny thing is, I think a lot of people were just so intrigued by the trailer that they actually got around to see the movie, expecting some bizarre or hilarious masterpiece. Well it is bizarre and pretty funny, but I think people had some kind of weird expectation that it would be something it wasn't, and what's actually strange about this is that the trailer does not misrepresent the movie at all, right up until the pacing of the movie.

I enjoyed it,too.

I liked it too - it was very funny. It's amazing how they could make you feel and care about a tire when many movies fail at making a connection to their characters and actors.

The "no reason" opening monologue was entertaining and I liked some of the music choices. Some clever lines and unexpected twists.

Good job.

I had a lot of fun watching it... but I'm pretty sure it's the kind of movie that's only fun to watch with other people. I saw it with a few friends and half of the fun of watching the flick came from the running commentary we were providing. Not that the film itself isn't good - I thought it was pretty clever and unique. But I have to admit, if you don't have at least one other person there you start to feel a bit awkward watching it.

I loved this movie! (And yes, ridiculonius, I did watch by myself.) I was enjoying it, then fell in love with the line. "The tire has reincarnated as a tricycle!". How many movies could use that line and have it make total sense?

Also, just technically, how the director made the tire come alive with its crush on the girl, its love of TV, its sheer pleasure in rolling down the road, its rage at the tire bonfire, plus the cleverness of how the tire was actually being moved made it a very pleasurable film to watch.

(I also like the jaunty way the tricycle had just one streamer, it looked to me like a rebel with his baseball cap on backwards.)

Nothing to seriously hate here, it goes by pretty fast and the meta parts added some deeper layers, something I wasn't expecting from a movie with such a premise. Though the ending really was a let-down, no amount of self-awareness is going to hide the fact that you don't have a big enough budget for a better climax.

I'm just surprised no one has called it "pretentious" yet. The people that hate movies like are usually just taking them way too seriously. It's about a killer tire with deadly psychic powers for christsake, and it plays a lot with the expectations people have about movies. I just found it playful and fun. It's not like it's about the Holocaust and has to have some kind of serious "point" or "message" to it.

"Avengers: Age of Ultron" was made with about 100 times the budget of this and I didn't detect any more "point" or "message" to that movie than I did to this one. This movie was just a lot more CREATIVE and ORIGINAL. You really want a "point" go check out the top of your head.
