I like them both, but I'd have to lean more towards DFM.
shareDan for Mayor is better.
shareMy vote goes to Dan For Mayor. Not surprizing that it is the better show since most of the writers for Corner Gas are working on that one (really enjoyed the redone joke about the bathroom signs, for example). I also really appreciate the straight performances. Mike is the only character that seems to be a goof but he's never OTT and I think he fits well with the rest as a contrast.
I don't like Hiccups that much but I'm not as harsh in my criticism of it. I'd describe Hiccups as being too homogenous - it seems inundated with Brent and Nancy's senses of humour which is often very silly. Millie ruins the show for me...I'm not sure how Nancy could tone down her portrayal of that character, it just seems to be written that way. It's a shame because Nancy has excellent comedic skills (Delicate Art of Parking for example, especially when she is hitting on the director; she was great in the first couple seasons of Corner Gas too).

i agree with that..if she were to tone down nancy just a tad, i might actually like her and her character....but not as it stands....she reminds me of someone who's always having a temper tantrum, and that's never a good thing.....

Both shows are unfunny and awful!
shareMy vote is on Dan for Mayor. I was a big fan of Corner Gas but didn't really like either of the two spinoffs when they first came out. I've since learned to like Dan for Mayor but still can't get into Hiccups.
