In 1975, there was an attempt to make "Doc Savage The Man Of Bronze". What film goers got was an over the top cartoon-like film of the Man of Bronze. It was very poor.
I am worried, that, despite state of the art special effects technology, that this attempt will be almost as bad.
I have nothing against The Rock and movies he has made. But, Doc Savage is going to be a tough project to get right. Many Doc Savage fans, of which I am one, will be very critical of many things in the film. I don't think that Dwayne has the acting chops to pull off the Man of Bronze.
Only time will tell, I guess. Part of me hopes I am wrong, and we need a GOOD Doc Savage movie.

Well, the Rock is not attached to this project anymore. Last I heard, they were trying to make it into a tv series.

Someone needs to lie to Jeff Bezos and tell him he looks just like Doc Savage and maybe he'll throw a pile of money at the project and it'll look okay.

Although I cringe to think what they'll do this companions.
