Why do people like this?

I've seen so many positive reviews and watched it and it was awful. Love makes a zombie human? not just one zombie all of them? what THE *beep* it wasnt clever or witty or entertaining it Was twilight with zombies...its more preteen bs for idiots. but seriously...what good qualities does this have?

reply

We're not going to justify why we like this film to you if you don't justify why you dislike it.

reply

I dislike it because it was nonsensical, cliche, poorly acted, edited, paced, and just bad. it wasnt originial. it wasnt entertaining. there was no moral. there was literally NO reason for this film to be made.

reply

Nothing is original these days. The rest of your "points" still have no reasoning.
It's a piece of fiction, it doesn't have to make sense. How is it poorly acted, do you know what a real zombie is supposed to behave like? Can you edit it any better?

reply

so anything fiction doesnt have to make sense? yeah you're 12 go home. i get its a zombie movie but harry potter is a movie about wizards, the avengers is a movie about superheroes, planet of the apes is about talking apes but the all make sense.they all have a good story and its engaging and meaningful. this...wasnt.

You think I am the same age as you? Laughable. Go troll elsewhere.

Gotta love someone who throws out the troll card when they cant defend a *beep* movie

You're causing chaos, so you're a troll. I am not defending why this movie is good to the likes of you, as you are not giving anything relevant to say why you do not like it - only pointless insults.

one user gave me a link to a post that addressed my question. 2 others understood my question. the likes of me? goodness you are dramatic. you need a hug and a role mode kid

First off, learn that not everyone tolerates abuse. Secondly since only children refer to people as "kid" - Get off the internet and go do your homework or commit crimes and get jailed like most kids with lousy parents do these days.

reply

lol you still can't tell me anything about this movie that makes it good can you? personal digs and insults aside you haven't named one redeeming quality. honestly you can go suck a *beep* (if you dont get that reference you truly dont belong)

reply

personal digs and insults aside you haven't named one redeeming quality.

That's funny that you mention name calling since you were the first one to resort to that (12 year old).

reply

yeah you're 12 go home.

You seem confused at how the internet works. It can be accessed at home.

Are you at a library? No wonder you are pissed off.

reply

All those things are subjective (not to mention vague and lazy criticisms).

it wasnt originial

Name 10 other films that involve zombies falling in love with humans. Should be easy since this film isn't "original".

it wasnt entertaining.

Subjective (another vague and lazy criticism)

there was no moral

Compassion, understanding... Those were in there. You must have missed them.

there was literally NO reason for this film to be made.

There LITERALLY were reasons for this film to be made since it got made.

A mystery of mysteries. I pressume this dreadful piece of junk is adressed to the twilight, host community, otherwise what kind of audience would it have. I haven't watched beyond 22 minutes of it and not only the entire plot seems forceful even for a zombie movie but also the guy's acting hurts like cancer. He moves like a normal emo kid, he cleans his mouth after eating brains (and this I found so weird that I wondered if it was just in the story or what), he has a conscience of his own and yeah, right, here I'm suffering on behalf of Romero, and the best of all, I've read somewhere they kiss. So basically there's necrophilia, which is so good that it makes the dead come back to life. I gag at the idea of the stink, the maggots, decay bacteria and whatnot present in that interchange of saliva. Was it french? Oh gosh, I don't want to watch that.

reply

I for one agree with you. I am also baffled at how this has a rating above 5. When this movie first came out in theaters I was excited and very eager to see it. I thought it would be an original take on a monster romance. But while watching it I felt myself becoming bored and very critical of the movie. In my opinion it was a great idea badly written

reply

I can explain. Some people liked it more than you did.

I am baffled that you are an adult and have trouble understanding that we don't all like or dislike things on the exact same level.

reply

Hahaha you're so funny

reply

Was the humorous part when I incorrectly assumed you were an adult?

Yeah, that was pretty funny.

reply

There are probably.movies you enjoy that people think the same thing. People like this movie. I watched it last night, didn't totally like it then the more I thought about it the cuter I felt it was. It is Romeo and Juliet set in Zombie times. People like what they like. Let them like it just like how you enjoy movies that some people think are awful.

reply

Paradox...

You're what... 21?

Too angry for someone your age.

Give it time. When you're 40, you'll look back to this and be amazed that you got so bent out of shape over not liking a movie.

reply

This is such a stupid question. Film is subjective. No one here has to explain to you why they like it. You can hate it all you want. No one cares. But there's no need to belittle people for liking something you don't. Get over yourself.

reply

Very subjective post to start with.

i have seen it this weekend ond amazon, and i really loved it. i can't really agree that it was twilight with zombies, for two reasons: first - twilight was a piece of crap and i hated it so much, i refused to watch allmovies that came after the first - and even the first was a tour de force. so i can't actually tell if there are similarites with the other twilight movies.

second- twilight was intended for young girls, if i'm correctly informed. This one however, had no target audience. take me for example-35 year old guy, comic book lover, sc-fi addict, horrorjunkie, western-afficinado, and i enjoy my whisky with a good drama movie. you see - i have a very broad range of genres and movies that i like. same goes for zombie movies. perhaps i'm a bit biased here, cause i love zombie and vampire movies, and actually, trashy b movies are in my favour over big budget production that only care for cgi.

ok - about the moral point: it really depends on how old you are, at what point you ar ein your life, or what matters to you at a given moment. to me, the whole lovestory was just a byproduct, to keep the story going and deliver some observations about todays culture, and mankind in general. i couldn't care less about if the lived happily ever after or not. teenage roamnce wasn´t even my cup of tea when i was a teenager. but the implication here is very strong. the zombies in this movie are clearly a mirror to us, the real world. how we behave, and how distracted and disconnected we are from life, art, love, others. it would have been blunt to tell people with a raised index finger: it's not hmkay to stare all day into your phone screen, hmkay. instead they wrapped the message into a nice funny zombieflic. way more efficient. i laughed a lot at severl scenes and comments that r gave from the off, some were smart, others obvious. but all in all - it was one of the best zombie movies i have seen, which actually had nothing to do with zombies. it was just an Aesopian fable. Give it a try aagin and look at it as a kind of meta reflection on society. it's really not a teenage romance.
