Some actresses actually seem to like being nude in their movies. In her younger years -- and well into her mature years -- I think Helen Mirren must have had a clause in their contract saying that the movie HAD to have a nude scene for her.
Julianne Moore in some. Kate Winslet in some. In the beginning only, Sharon Stone(and mainly in one famous movie.) And of course we notice the actresses who do nude scenes. Its part of what set them aside.
J-Law did nude scenes in the grim spy drama "Red Sparrow." Sounds like this time out its a much lighter scene and the audience(males especially) are invited to come and enjoy.
And of course, J-Law herself knows that actual nude photos of her were leaked on the internet some years ago. She knows many have seen her that way.
So why NOT get paid a few extra million dollars(I'm sure she was) to do a full nude scene in a romantic comedy of sorts?
PS. When American actresses started doing nude scenes in the R and X (mainstream) movies that came out starting in 1968, they took comfort in knowing that nobody would see the scenes unless they came to a movie theater, and the view would be fleeting -- only some seconds, maybe a minute at most.
Mondernly, actresses like J-Law know that their "brief" nude scenes can be freezed-framed indefinitely in streaming or DVD viewings.
That's probably why not ALL that many actresses are doing nude scenes.
And yes, male actors do nude scenes a lot, too but -- that's different.
PPS. I think J-Law knows something else. Without the nude scene to talk about "No Hard Feelings" wouldn't have had much to promote it. J-Law wants BACK in as a star.
