Amazing chemistry
Did anyone else think Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston had amazing chemistry in this? Completely unexpected for me, I never would have expected those 2 to have such great on-screen chemistry together.

What chemistry was there in the movie? I could only see a bit towards the end. There wasn't enough for a romantic comedy.

A lot of people thought there was chemistry, even a good number of critics who hated the movie.
shareLike I said in my review, the movie should have showed more interaction between the two in the office or whatever before Decker came in to the picture. The problem with this movie as a romance is that the first hour or so is devoted to the connection between Sandler and Decker. There isn't much time for Sandler and Aniston's relationship to develop. I saw some chemistry in the dinner scene with Nicole Kidman. The most romantic part of this movie involved Kidman telling the couple what to do. That is not the way to hold up a romance.

They spent enough time showing us the kind of relationship Sandler and Aniston have at the beginning. This blog probably explains it better than me.

I totally agree with you, knh2316. I was surprised by the chemistry they had on screen together, too and I think that chemistry really carried the movie. Yeah, we all knew they were gonna end up together but the way they interacted with eachother made you want to see them end up together. This was a really cute, fun movie to me.

I agree. Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler had amazing chemistry in "Just Go With It."
I was surprised.
I just got home from watching the movie and I was thinking exactly the same thing - so yes I do agree with you they had (unexpected) chemistry together. I read that they have known each other well before either were famous - so perhaps that is why?

This is the first movie for me that I didn't think of her as "Jennifer Aniston" but as the character.
There was great chemistry!!!!

Yes. Definitely, one of the best on screen chemistry i've seen. They were both effortless.
shareHi!
I also thought they worked well together. The part where they had to say what they liked about the other was quite good but better was when they talk really awkwardly outside her room later and Sandler's like "you were trying to make me jealous" and she's like "why were you jealous" and he's like "no". Then she's like "you were lucky that coconut was in the way because you couldn't handle it" etc. I think sometimes what we mistake for chemistry between actors is actually just good romantic writing by the scriptwriters. Sure the actors work well together but the chemistry comes from the lines they're saying.
Anyway loved the movie.
