I only ask because I remember from the episode of Family Guy when Cleveland returns to Quahog and Joe, Peter, and Quagmire are making fun of him for the Cleveland show being cancelled to which he uses the alibi "it got the same ratings as Bob's Burgers." Does this indicate that Fox will eventually can Bob's Burgers or did they cancel the Cleveland show because they expected more out of a Seth Macfarlane created show?
shareI'm surprised to read someone saying they have guarantees till season 9 because "Glued, Where’s My Bob?" seemed so much like a series finale. They skipped the normal opening sequence and instead they show the business next door being dismantled, they added musical elements and Bob achieved recognition by the town and food elite for his burger joint. They had all the major characters make appearances and all the guest actors were in the credits.
It seemed like a perfect high point to end the series.

It may seem like that, but it's not. Season seven (starting on September 25) and eight are already ordered, Glued, Where's My Bob wasn't even planned to be season finale.

shareI don't trust Fox with a good show after what they did to Arrested Development. Then again, Bob's Burgers gets better ratings if I remember right. But I do think that Bob's Burgers is brilliant and very well written. There's so much more than Family Guy even though I do like some of the more depth that FG has given to it's characters like Quagmire and Joe and adding layers to Brian and Stewie. Honestly, I'd just get rid of Peter Griffin altogether. And whether people want to admit it or not, the Simpsons is still the Simpsons. They do need to still perform but after 25 seasons and revolutionizing animated sitcoms, they do deserve the benefit of the doubt.
