Ballsy ending.

Granted, the film wasn't all that good(but was pretty good WHEN you consider the budget in a sense, but still..i wouldn't see it again lol) I didn't love it, or even like it that much. But all this hate on the ending...I liked it. A lot. Not something you see all too often, total downer, but in a good way.

SPOILER. Although, I couldnt help but think it would have been better if lets say, Isabella(while possessed) kicked Ben(i think that was his name) out of the car while it was moving towards the end of the fight. He dies in the road. Isabella then attacks Michael driving, he swerves as he tries to get her off then crashes, killing them both. But thats just me, lmao. END SPOILER.

Overall, I wouldn't see it again. Go see it if you're curious, but eh. I did like the first exorcism though.

Reasons why it's lazy:

1. The story isn't really over yet.
2. The film doesn't let you know if they died for sure or not. I guess it's just me, but I want to see corpses. Or some sort of denouement. They leave it open, like they could have ran off into the woods to hide out for the sequel or something. With the crappy found-footage style, you don't really know.
3. You shouldn't have to finish a movie's story through another medium. That's like ending a book with no final chapter, just a link to a web-series. If you go to the website, it doesn't give you any results anyway. It's more like marketing material on the background of the characters for before you see the movie. It's like a movie ending short and on-screen text directs you to watch the trailer again.

"Oh, my God. Bear is driving! How can that be?!"

Who actually went on the website afterwards? I bet very few.
Anyways I didn't mind the end. Found footage films always just end so whatever.

I thought it was a really good ending.I did not find it at all disappointing. It was not your normal cliched ending that you see so often in Hollywood films where everything wraps into a nice little bundle and everything is peachy. It was unpredictable and sudden.I certainly was not expecting all the characters to be killed at the end.A predictable ending would have been if Isabella was freed from the demon possessing her and then went on to live a normal happy life.SPOILER.I also thought the car crash sequence in which they were all killed was very well done. The movie ended with a bang.

I can honestly say anyone who thought this ending was anything but cliche, has never watched a single horror movie in their life. Horror has several trademarks but one of the most common is bad endings, either everyone outright dies or surprise surprise the enemy is not dead, laid an egg, basically you are screwed anyway. I just have to go as far as the first movie that went the home video route, aka Blair Witch, ending, everyone dies, well the one guy is standing in a corner, but he probably dies as well. Paranormal Activity One, everyone dies, that can die at least, or they disappear. Ballsy? Fresh? Original? Non-cliche?

Wrong genre buddy. This movie and its ending were as generic as they come when it comes to horror. This movie literally was as bad as people said, and I still dont understand what in this movie cost 1,000,000 dollars.

I thought this was much better than I was led to believe. I liked it a little more than The Conjuring, which I thought was merely okay, a pretty standard haunting movie. The ending didn't bother me so much. Sometimes mysteries are better left unsolved. I thought it worked, though I could have went for a little more explanation

Wait until they get a load of me.
