2nd veiwing better?

Just watched the master for the second time (first was about 6 months ago).
& have to say i find the second viewing sits easier and is a lot more (not going to say enjoyable)Interesting (in a good way). Just wondering has anyone else found this & if so anyone seem to have any reasons/theories why

I felt alot more empathy towards freddies character in this viewing & felt PSH character was manipulating his family, friends & followers alot more than i realised in the first viewing.....Any thoughts?

I watched it twice in just 48h. After seeing it for the first time and reading some articles about "The Master", I felt the urging need to watch it again ASAP. I'm glad I did it, and now I feel I properly enjoyed this film. It's a well-crafted piece of cinema that leaves just enough open space so the viewer can fill in the blanks on his own. How sad that PTA is the only remaining Hollywood director that can make such beautiful, intelligent work.

Absolutely. I rarely take the time to watch a movie twice, and I was so happy after I've done it. The first time was all about Freddie, I couldn't take my eyes off him. The second time I could admire the depth of PSH and the spectacular acting of Amy Adams.
What is there more to say, after the 1st time I rated it 8, after the 2nd I raised it up to 9.

I had a great experience watching it the second time, everyone that's seen the film should take their time to re watch it. It was very enjoyable and interesting, and you could really understand some of the things that you didn't the first time.

I've seen it at least 5 times & it gets better every time.

Hell yeah the 2nd viewing is better, it's worth it only for Joaquin Phoenix's performance, but you will also catch more things because of the attention to detail.

The camera movements and the cinematography are also gorgeous, which to me is one of the most important thing because you can catch some more tricks on multiple viewings. The way this film was shot is genius, needless to say I'm a big fan of PTA.
