Amazing movie. I recommend

Avoid spoilers about premise and watch it with clear head.

Pacing, cinematography, acting were great. And story that makes you think about it afterwards.

it was well made, but I felt it reached too short. should have been a 30 minute twilight zone, not a full movie.

it was obvious to me it was written by a women, because of all the FEEWINGS, and FAMILY stuff it evolves around.
after 20 minutes of dull introductions to the people, someting finally happened, leading to a boring expected outcome.
Stuff happens, makes sense, it ends.

that is not so great TO ME. but everyone is different. could have been cooler with more depth and stakes, but, no, women's script.... family and done.

You'll see.

reply

At the start of the movie you knew it was going to be about time travel and the missing kid would be the guys mother?

Totally expected outcome.

reply

I knew it was time/dimension multiverse, and by the end, I didn't even care and expected the reveal as it was too obvious. overall, it just was not good TO ME. Others will see it differently.

reply

At the beginning of the movie?

I went in cold and thought it was a drama.

" I didn't even care and expected the reveal as it was too obvious."

At what point? The movie trickle fed info. We didn't get a hint that something was off until half way through, then it could have been supernatural. There's no way you figured it out at the beginning of the movie without spoilers.

the trailer showed a lot
gotta admit, I forgot this movie pretty much as soon as it ended... but, yes, when we learned the girl was vanished, then there was mention of this person from the past, I put 2 and 2 together pretty quick. I like to think about twists and watch for signs ahead of time. but yeah, it resolved very predictably to me. it wasnt a movie for me.

I don't enjoy sitting through movies that are 1.5 hours, that only have 30 minutes of plot

reply

>the trailer showed a lot

Bingo!

Like guy above says:

"Avoid spoilers about premise and watch it with clear head."

>I put 2 and 2 together pretty quick.

As the movie trickles information. Not before.

>I like to think about twists and watch for signs ahead of time.

Puff out your chest much?

What signs were there ahead of time that the little girl was the dude's mother?

If anything, it looked like it could have been the other girl time travelling. She had the same cancer locket he had, so all signs pointed to her, until the movie showed different as the information trickled out. But we are talking over an hour into the movie here. Not "pretty quickly"

>it wasnt a movie for me.

You're just too smart. That's your problem. Like Sherlock Holmes. Columbo. Kojak.

You asked
I answered

I don't care though about this dull film to keep dialoging about it

reply

But you keep on. Without explaining much.

Took a page until you admitted you saw the trailer which revealed a lot of the plot.

reply

I never denied watching the trailer. It's the only reason I was interested in it. Trailer was better than the movie.
anyway, moving on... later

just ran across this again :D

THIS HOW THE INTERNET WORKS THESE DAYS:

people create, then support their own delusions:

he says
"At the start of the movie " where I had NEVER EVER EVER said that, ever in my post.
then continues to follow it up with
"At the beginning of the movie?" When, oh when did I remotely EVER say AT THE START? Never once I said that.
Down the path, continue, just silly. hahahahahah

then
"Took a page until you admitted "
didn't even know that was anything. Trailers are viewed before having interest in movies... quite often... that's why they exist in the first place: to provoke interest. I never denied watching the trailer... never knew that even mattered.

Then we both waste 15 minutes bantering over a big nothing.

Internet at it's finest normal. Adding words, putting words in mouth, then believing them. :D

Couldn't agree more!
