Thank goodness! A solid ending!
I had concerns. Too long, too many characters, too much like Summer of Fear. But a solid, satisfying, believable ending made it all worthwhile.

shareSo , she took herself from the harvest dance to the cult compound in Teddys car to willingly be burnt to death ? . I don't get it ( as usual )
shareNo, to avoid going to Vermont.
shareShe knew Suzanne would come to rescue her, and if she didn't i guess she'd rather be sacrificed than be sent away from Suzanne. It was all about manipulating Suzanne into keeping her, and now shes got Suzanne all to herself.
shareEven after the therapy, why was Suzanne still so attached to Mae and didn't send her to Vermont already.
shareSuzanne thought Mae needed help after her abduction and wasn’t ready to go to Vermont yet. Then comes the twist.
shareI do sympathize with Mae. Far more than I do with the rest of Suzanne's family. The problem is that she really wasn't with the right family. They weren't the supportive and friendly family that she should have had. Suzanne being the major exception of course. The father didn't seem to care to much about her and the daughters were jealous/resentful of her.
Even though Mae did try to reach out to them and did her best to be a friend to them.
