A sweet movie that was weird, funny, touching

I bet not many people will see this movie, which is unfortunate. It's a quirky one with touching moments of humanity, and the fantasy of an alien visitor that is more about us than "them".

Yes, I loved it. Kingsley was amazing and Jules/Garry was adorable. Wonderful film.

What year did the story take place in? A friend told me about this one but could not recall if it took place in present times.

It takes place in present day, if I remember right the examples of current day tech (like smart phones etc)

It takes place now (2022), not that it matters.
