He didn't win because Colin Firth had help from Harvey Weinstein to win. As most people know, he is very good at earning people oscars and oscar nominations.

shareBecause he's not a good actor and only got a nod because the film is raging Oscar bait. Most likely anyone who played that role would have been nominated. No real mystery here.
Dick, I am VERY disappointed.
Sorry, but anybody that thinks this is a best actor performance should have their head examined. Not remotely close to even a nomination. There is no acting skill required in this. Any actor could have played a guy whose arm is stuck under a rock for 5 days. One location takes over 90% of the movie.
shareI am watching it right now and agree there is nothing special about his performance. I find the movie boring and am only watching it to the end to see if he dies. LOL.
