They should try for a third sequel

To explore a situation where the main character would survive an encounter with her and to see if the witch has any weaknesses. And they should add a character with weapons for once. I would really like to see how she would react to a gun. But she should try to lure kids or another child to the woods for some reason. Give her a goal or something a purpose for luring somebody and force the relatives out with a search party with weapons and lets see that on screen. Don't know what more mysteries they could add to her legend though that we don't already know to keep things interesting.

But then again maybe nah

I like the idea that Blair Witch is the result of her trapping these kids in a loop because they decided to come out at and bother her. And that this will be the end of it all. Nobody will be stupid enough to go in again.

This isn't the second sequel. There had already been a Blair Witch 2 movie that came out years ago.

So, this is the third movie in the series, thus making it the second sequel, do you even know what a sequel is?

Some of you millennials are smarter than others, but do any of you little brats know that they made Curse of the Blair Witch, Sticks and Stones: An Exploration of the Blair Witch Legend, The Massacre of The Burkittsville 7: The Blair Witch Legacy, and Shadow of the Blair Witch?

Can any of you count that high, or are you high enough as it is and you need a bad-girl spanking by your wise elders?

Pardon me, but those examples sound like shorts and documentaries covering the movie. PLUS, Shadow of the Blair Witch was never released in North America. OFFICIALLY, the movie series is Blair Witch Project, Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2, and Blair Witch as these were the only ones that weren't short films or documentaries.

What's your interpretation of the original?

I personally think that Heather and Mike were taken back in time and killed by Rustin Parr.

If they did another sequel would be fun if it was a family going out camping and the kid survives wouldn't be a first that a child gets out of the woods alive. Or if a coven of witches come to end the Blair Witch curse.

They've already failed twice, so a third sequel would be more of the same. It didn't need to be turned into yet another crappy franchise to begin with.

i get what your saying but you have to understand the reason we arent learning a truck load about whats going on is because the filmakers dont know there making this up as they go as for a gun it shouldnt have any impact on a ghost the only realistic weapon would be a bible or croses or some kind of incantation

lol it made more opening weekend dude do to the hype from the first thats all blair witch 2 blows an any one will tell you that its cool if you like it though but if the next one is people in the woods again it would still be better then 2

This film is the first sequel. If you are referring to Blair Witch 2: book of shadows, that isn't a direct sequel to the original but this film is. So the post should read: 'They should try for a second sequel'.

I have a feeling they're now going to do a Paranormal Activity and find ever more tenuous excuses to have a bunch of teenagers and 20 somethings roam around the woods with video cameras while encountering ever more OTT stuff like a blood cult, a hell gate, aliens, trees that move, and demon possessions. The original is going to get really cheapened by all the junk that gets added to canon in the franchise.

Maybe not storyline-wise, but the movie is called Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2, thus making it a sequel. I don't like it any better than you do.
