If YOU were in the same situation these people were in, what would u do?
Let's say you were stuck in those woods, at night, being hunted by the Blair Witch. What would you do?
You must defeat Sheng Long to stand a chance.

Interesting thread. I'd love to say, "ah ... behave rationally and calmly" when the truth is pretty much spend a lot of time screaming "what's going on?" like the kids in this movie. Part of the terror of this movie though is that it really doesn't matter what anyone does: whether someone is being cool and rational (as at the beginning) or pretty much acting out of stark raving terror (as further and further into the movie), the outcome is the same: despair and death.
shareIt seems like any effort to survive would be pointless. The witch won't let you leave, you have probably been transported to some other dimension or something, and she will be steadily playing mind games with you to lure you into the house.
I'd like to say I would never go in the house, but at a certain point - if you managed to stick around as long as Layne did (assuming he wasn't just an illusion), you'd go insane - death would be a welcome release from the curse.
I doubt I'd climb a tree, though.
As I would most likely be the least attractive and least interesting member of the group, I'm fairly certain I would die relatively early and probably off camera.
shareIf I was Lisa, I wouldn't have turned around when I heard "James" at the end. I mean, you just witnessed the EXACT SAME TRICK, so why would you fall for it? I'd back away from the house as far as I could and hope she gave up.
shareWhat is the set up for the question? Are we just out in the woods without any knowledge of the Blair Witch legend? Are we just regular members of the public who have watched the 'found footage' of the lost trio from the 1990's? Or are we actually stuck with being a member of this particular expedition?
If we're doing it from scratch, i.e. have watched all of the 'real' 'found footage' and thus are forearmed, then I should think that our expedition would be somewhat different. It's all about what one knows, and when one knows it.
For starters, it would seem that the Blair Witch doesn't mess with those in large numbers. Why? Perhaps she can be hurt, and large numbers could bring that about, whereas small numbers are totally at her mercy.
Second, it would appear that her 'range' is limited to a certain geographic location, in that she has not molested the surrounding lands in all the time she's been there.
Third, weapons. Be they effective or not, the mere assumption that they would not be is not one well grounded in fact.
Then of course, there's the consideration of time, and all that it entails.
