Is it worth seeing it on the big screen?
Or should I wait for the DVD and watch it at home alone?
shareOr should I wait for the DVD and watch it at home alone?
shareBump for those who've seen it this weekend
shareYes, I thought it was worth seeing on the big screen because of the sound design. Very loud. I'm not someone who is irritated or bothered by loud noises and I thought it gave the film great atmosphere. Especially during the thunderstorm at the end. There was quite a bit of spatial depth to the sound field and made me feel more like I was in the woods with the characters than the first film. I really liked that aspect of this one. The sounds were more threatening. Others seem to really hate it the most. Unless you have a really terrific surround sound set up at home you won't be able to achieve it on DVD/Blu-ray.
shareDefinitly, don't expect strong charaters or a strong story, but the scares and lore added are great, it has some fantastic sequences in the last 20 muinets, just wait for the sun to go down :)
Pointing me out on spelling is just one hell of a poor argument..
Only if you can sneak into the theater, and you don't have to pay for it. This movie is a complete turd. If the sound was so important, I would have jumped at least once during the 1500 jump scares. Save your money please.
sharesee it on the big screen... I happen to have liked it, but think it will be dumb watching at home on TV
shareIf you have surround sound at home I would just wait. This movie would be really bad without surround sound.

Thank God I waited to torrent it. Awful movie. Hated it. And the first one is my second favorite horror movie of all time. Too many characters and they were all annoying and forgettable, unlike the original 3.
